Retail and manufacturing

Retail and wholesale, from one program and one card terminal.

A shop or a workshop sells to private customers and to businesses. The receipt was never the problem. The invoice to a customer paying by card was. With LogicInvoice both come from the same place, with the same card terminal.

What a shop or workshop has to do today

Electronic invoicing

For invoices to businesses, through a certified provider, now for every business: from 02/03/2026 for turnover above 1 million euros, from 01/10/2026 for all others, with a transition period until 31/12/2026.

A connected POS

A card terminal can no longer work on its own. It must be connected either to a cash register or fiscal device or to invoicing software connected to a provider, such as LogicInvoice.

Retail and wholesale together

The same counter serves private customers and trade customers. The retail receipt and the invoice have to come from the same program, and the card has to go through on both.

A shop, before and after

Real cases from our clients.

Before

A card terminal for retail only

  • A program with a fiscal device (ΦΗΜΑΣ), or a cash register.
  • Retail receipts were fine. Invoices were another story.

The card terminal was connected to the fiscal device or the cash register, so it only accepted cards on a retail receipt. When a wholesale customer wanted to pay by card and get an invoice, a retail receipt had to be issued so the card could go through, then cancelled, and finally the invoice issued on credit.

The other workaround was a second card terminal just for invoices, at the same bank. Two terminals for the same payments.

Two documents and one cancellation for one payment.

After

One program, one card terminal

  • Receipts and invoices come out of LogicInvoice.
  • The card terminal works for both retail and wholesale.
  • The app also works from a mobile phone, so also outside the shop.

The wholesale customer pays by card and gets the invoice straight away, just as the private customer gets the receipt. The fiscal device or cash register is retired.

One document, no cancellation.

Cash register or fiscal device: the same problem

They are two different things that do the same job. With a cash register the receipt is issued directly by the machine. With a fiscal device (ΦΗΜΑΣ) it is issued from a program, and the device adds the tax signature. Whichever of the two a business has, the card terminal is connected to it, and so locked to retail. LogicInvoice does the job of both, and the card terminal connects to it, for retail and for invoices.

What you need

LogicInvoice, the invoicing program, connected to the provider and to myDATA.

Units from the certified provider, paid separately, as with any electronic invoicing software.

Your card terminal, connected to LogicInvoice.

No cash register and no fiscal device. LogicInvoice does their job.

Frequently asked questions

Can I invoice a wholesale customer who pays by card?

Yes. When the card terminal is connected to LogicInvoice, it works for invoices too, not only for retail receipts. One document, no cancellations.

What happens to the cash register or fiscal device I have?

You can retire it, whichever of the two you have. LogicInvoice does their job, so you need neither a cash register nor a fiscal device, not even for retail receipts.

Can I keep a second card terminal just for wholesale?

You can, and it was the other common workaround: one terminal locked to retail and a second one, at the same bank, for invoices. With LogicInvoice it is not needed: one terminal does both.

Can I issue a document outside the shop?

Yes. LogicInvoice also works from a mobile phone, with the card terminal connected, so a document can also be issued at the customer’s premises.

Does it work with my bank’s card terminal?

The connection works with the usual retail card terminals from many banks, and so far we have not come across a problem with any of them. Tell us which one you have and we will confirm it before you start.

When does electronic invoicing become mandatory?

It already applies. For businesses with turnover above 1 million euros from 02/03/2026, for all others from 01/10/2026, with a transition period until 31/12/2026.

What does it cost?

The LogicInvoice subscription and the certified provider’s units, which are paid separately as with any electronic invoicing software. Prices are on the LogicInvoice page and in the e-shop.

Still on two card terminals, or on cancellations?

Tell us what your shop or workshop uses today. We will tell you what changes, what stays the same, and whether your card terminal connects.
