MS-Tools

My site is up, healthy, and people can find me.

Three things together: uptime, technical health, and visibility in the answer engines. And, if you want it, the hand that fixes whatever is found. Most important of all: you learn about it before your visitor does.

Available now, also online

Annual subscription per website · We also take on websites we did not build · Part of the MS-Logic ecosystem

The phone call you do not want

The most common way a business finds out its website went down is a customer calling. The second most common is never finding out at all, because nobody called. The same goes for the security certificate that expired, for the links that broke when a page changed, and for the WordPress plugin with the known vulnerability.

Three questions, one screen

Without logging into three different tools and without learning what every metric means.

Is it up?

Uptime check every 5 minutes, with alerts by email and Telegram if it goes down. A warning before the security certificate expires, not on the day it expired. We see the alert at the same moment you do.

Is it healthy?

A scan twice a day: broken links, titles and descriptions, sitemap, robots, structured data, loading speed, visual changes on the page, and a WordPress check for versions and plugin vulnerabilities.

Can they find you?

A check of whether the answer engines (AI) know your business and whether they recommend it to someone who does not already know it. It is a different question from search ranking, and today it counts more and more.

Why you can trust the numbers

We measured our own instrument before selling it. Here is what we found, and what we changed.

Two scores, not one

A compliance score, built only from measurements that give the same answer every time, and so changes only when something has truly changed. And, separately, a performance indicator, shown as a trend because it is noisy by nature.

A range, not a snapshot

For every noisy figure the report says "median 93, range 82 to 97 over the last ten measurements". The competition shows one number and presents it as the truth. Stating the uncertainty increases credibility, it does not reduce it.

"Not measured" instead of zero

When a scan does not complete, it says so. It does not silently become a bad grade. A report that says "no broken links" when no link was checked is not an incomplete measurement, it is a false claim.

The alert states the cause

Never "the score fell from 95 to 80". Always "the sitemap is missing", "three broken links", "the certificate expires in 9 days". An alert that does not state a cause simply makes you phone to ask what it means.

And the hand that fixes

MS-Tools detects. Website support fixes. They are two separate subscriptions on purpose, so that you do not pay for something you do not need.

Updates that are checked

WordPress, plugins and theme, with a check of the website after every update. On the larger tiers the update is tried first in a staging environment, so you do not learn from a customer that something broke.

Backups

Regular backups, so that restoring is an option and not a wish. The larger tiers also include recovery after a breach.

Change hours inside the subscription

Pro includes 3 hours of changes a year and Max 8. They are valid within the subscription year, they do not accumulate and do not carry over. Anything beyond them is charged from remote support hours, bought in the e-shop.

Order and payment check

On the Max tier, after every update we test that the basket and the checkout work. In an online shop, a broken update costs sales the same day.

Who it makes sense for

Three things we say from the start

Speed measurements move on their own. The tool that produces them gives a different number on successive measurements of the same unchanged website. That is why we never send an alarm from a single speed measurement, and why we show you a range instead of one number. Anyone who shows you a speed score as if it were the truth has either not measured it or is not telling you.

Detection is not fixing. The monitoring subscription does not touch your website. It tells you what it found and what we recommend. MS-Tools tells you what happened, annual support takes it on. They are two different things and are charged separately. We say it plainly because it is the most common misunderstanding in this market.

One exception, and it always applies. If the cause is ours, for example a problem on the server hosting your website, we step in anyway and at no charge. The distinction concerns whatever is not down to us.

The included hours are not unlimited. A website with a serious problem can consume more time in one day than a whole year of subscription includes. That is why the hours are counted and written down, and anything beyond them is charged. The alternative would be raising the price for everyone.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between MS-Tools and support?

MS-Tools detects, support fixes. They do not overlap and they do not cancel each other out. You can take monitoring alone and decide for yourself what to do with the findings, or take both and let us handle it.

Do you take on websites you did not build?

Yes, after an initial check of their condition. The check exists so that we both know what is being handed over, not to find a reason to say no.

Do change hours carry over if I do not use them?

No. They do not accumulate and do not carry over to the next year. That is not harshness, it is the only way to keep the price predictable. Anything beyond the included hours is charged from remote support hours in the e-shop, where an hour costs less as the pack grows and never expires.

Will you wake me at 3 in the morning if the site goes down?

The alert goes out automatically by email and Telegram as soon as the outage is detected, and the same alert reaches us too. You configure where you want to receive it. The check has protection against false alarms, so that a momentary network blip does not get you out of bed.

How accurate are the measurements?

It depends on the measurement, and we know because we measured it. Structure, security and link checks give the same answer every time. Speed measurements move even when nothing has changed, which is why they never trigger an alarm from a single measurement and are shown as a range rather than one number.

How much does it cost?

Annual subscription per website, excl. VAT: Basic €99, Pro €179, Max €299. If we already host your website, the corresponding prices are €59, €119 and €199. It can be bought online in the e-shop, or on request if you would rather talk it through first.
