I’ll say something you wouldn’t expect from someone who builds custom sites.

Ready-made platforms aren’t bad. For some cases they’re exactly the right choice.

The problem starts elsewhere. It starts the moment your business outgrows the ready-made tool, and nobody has told you so.

When a Wix or template makes sense

If you’re just starting out, if the budget is small and you simply want a clean presence online, a template is a reasonable choice.

You don’t need to spend thousands of euros to have a decent page. At this stage, the simple solution is the right solution.

So far, no objection.

The cost that isn’t visible at first

The «cheap» option looks inexpensive at first. Then it starts costing you in ways you hadn’t counted on.

Limited speed and SEO that doesn’t climb as far as you’d like. Features that simply can’t be done: a proper booking form, a connection to your systems, an automation that would save you hours.

And on top of that, a subscription that runs every month, forever, while the site stays «locked» inside the platform. It isn’t really yours.

The signs you’ve outgrown it

There’s a moment when the ready-made tool becomes a brake.

When you want something that «doesn’t exist ready-made». When you’re fighting limitations instead of growing. When you say «it would be perfect if the site could do this», and the answer is always «can’t be done here».

At that point you don’t need another template. You need something built for you.

When you need something that isn’t bought off the shelf

I’ve connected a 2003 commercial program to myDATA, where no ready-made solution offered a way. I’ve built a booking platform from scratch, with its own automatic sites and an AI assistant.

These don’t exist in any catalogue. They’re built. And that’s exactly the difference between «putting up a site» and solving your problem.

Not sure? Just ask

You don’t have to decide on your own which category you fall into.

Tell me what your business does and what you want to achieve. I’ll tell you honestly whether you need a custom solution or whether a simple site covers you just fine. Even if the answer is «you don’t need me».
